God created mankind to know Him and to have a relationship with Him. We need Him. We have been created with an innate hunger and thirst for God that nothing else can possibly satisfy. In those times when you feel like your life is empty or lacks direction, it may be that you are trying to quench that thirst for God with something else.
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. Isaiah 61:1
"He always does exactly what he says." 2Co 1:19
Ever had a friend break a promise? The check doesn't come, the repairman doesn't show, your date doesn't call? Count on it, people will let you down. But God won't, "He always does exactly what he says. He...fulfills all...[His] promises"
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
Romans 8:26

Every child surely wants to make their parents proud of them, to bring some type of honor and
happiness their way. As a child I always wanted my folks to never be ashamed or embarrassed
by my antics, although too many times it was another story for sure. My folks tried to instill in
my brain certain worthwhile principles, although at the time I didn't think they were so precious
or even worth my time.

Daniel is remembered for three things: (1) Standing by divine principles even when it lands you in the lions' den. (2) Hearing God's Word and recording it. (3) Having an attitude that strives for excellence in all things.

God had given a direct instruction, that Lot and his whole family were to leave the city that God was about to destroy! They were instructed to not look back or turn back! God was telling them that I am going to destroy this city and I know that it is a place where you lived, but I have greater things for you and I want you to leave this place and I'm going to destroy it.
